Children's Ministry
There are many Christian Education opportunities for children at Hope.
Due to Covid 19 classes have been canceled until further notice. When thing return to normal we will have the following programs for children: These include Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings, KFC (Kids for Christ) on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m., and Vacation Bible School. Hope also plans a Truck or Treat Party every October and an Easter Carnival every Spring. These generally includes lots of games and activities, food, and fellowship! They are always a lot of fun! Sunday School The Sunday School program consists of classes for all ages. These classes consist of a Bible-based curriculum that is age-appropriate and meets the interest level of each particular group. Classes are Sundays at 11:30am (after worship). Kids for Christ (KFC) KFC meets every Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. for dinner, games, and Bible study. This is a fun time to gather with one another and learn about what it means to be a Christian and spend time with our friends. KFC takes place September through May. Lock-Ins About once or twice a year, the children are invited to sleep over at the church! Students participate in interactive, engaging Bible lessons, play games, watch movies, and do their best to stay up all night! To see when the next Lock-In is happening, please check the Events page. Game Nights Game Nights are a big hit with our Children's Ministry...and their parents! On Game Nights, parents drop off their children at the church for a couple of hours (usually on a Friday or Saturday evening) to eat dinner and play games. Tabletop games, card games, group interactive games--it's all a possibility! To see when the next Game Night is, check our Events Page. Day Trips Trips to the zoo, to the movies, to the splash park, to the bowling alley...it's all possible! Hope tries to take the children to do something off-site about once a quarter. To see when the next trip is scheduled, check the Events Page. Day Camp In the summer, Hope is hosts a Day Camp for all children in the community who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade. Camp is 8:30 to 5:30 PM (with before care available) from Monday to Friday. For more information on how to register, see the "Events" page. |
